Dare to Dream


Dare to Dream (D2D) is a nonprofit foundation established in 2010 and officially launched in 2012 with a mission to inspire, empower, motivate women in Tanzania and contribute to poverty reduction and improved social justice in Iringa, Mtwara, Lindi and Dar es Salaam area (as per Millenium Development Goals 1, and 3); and the specific objective of the project is: “income increased and social, cultural, and political barriers to women’s empowerment progressively overcome for 8,000 rural poor women in four regions of  Tanzania
Dare to Dream accomplishes its mission by focusing on education, mentorship and coaching women who are seeking to acquire entrepreneurial skills to help start and grow business or excel in their careers, Dare to Dream also holds trainings, seminars, conferences and workshops that foster an exchange of information and experience among national, regional and international human rights movements.

Women’s and human rights, gender equity, economic engagement and political participation are promoted, as well as elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. D2D fights for protecting women's rights within the local laws and pending legislations through awareness campaigns and advocacy to the related decision makers in order to meet the Global standards established in the international conventions and treaties.

      • Promoting unity among all women of Tanzania
      • Supporting the economic empowerment of women in Tanzania;
      • Implementing solutions to social, political and economic challenges confronting the Tanzanian women;
      • Provide tools to advance women in corporate sectors and promoting a gender equitable work environment
      • Engaging women to in the Millennium Development Goals;
      • Promoting the exchange of economic opportunities among women;
      • Highlighting the contributions of Tanzanian women to the maintenance of peace and stability.
      • Creating strong networking opportunities for women in Tanzania and in other countries
